About a lost and not found Shtreimel…..
Bought for £9.99 on eBay and kept with thanks to Rabbi Krauss of Stamford Hill in London. I remain grateful to Rabbi Krauss for his advice and guidance, according to Jewish law, on the return, or not the return, of lost objects. The rabbi advised I advertise the found object in the orthodox Jewish newspapers and local information sheets. Several people came forward but, unfortunately, my found shtreimel was not their lost shtreimel.
The lost and found advert….unfortunately, this did not turn out to be the shtreimel the advert’s respondents were looking for. The shtreimel has since been loaned out for Purim celebrations.
