Peace: it was 2008 when Israel’s Prime Minister, Ehud Olmert, implored the Palestinian leader, Mahmoud Abbas, to accept a deal Olmert believed could have brought peace to the Middle East. It was a two-state solution. If implemented, it would have created a Palestinian state on more than 94% of the occupied West Bank. More from BBC News here.
