The Dwarkadhish temple is dedicated to Krishna who is credited with its construction on land reclaimed from the sea. Krishna was joined there by all his family who passed with the city when it was overrun and consumed by the sea. The temple is five stories high and the spire reaches almost 80 meters. You can read the temple’s history, going back to 400 BC, from the official website here. Today there are proposals to create an undersea viewing gallery. Check here and you might see the live darshan.
